Priory Hospital Newbury Full Time | 37.5 Hours Per Week | Site based Salary is £55,000 per annum FTE

As Director of Clinical Services, you will be a key member of the Hospital Senior Management Team, providing strong clinical leadership across our nursing and therapy services. You will have overall responsibility for the safe, effective and high-quality delivery of clinical services, ensuring our patients receive the highest standards of care and support.

You will lead clinical services across our two wards: a 12-bed Rehabilitation & Recovery (R&R) ward and an 18-bed Acute ward. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the hospital, you will promote a positive, patient-centred culture, drive continuous improvement and ensure our clinical teams are supported to deliver the best possible outcomes and experience for our patients.

Based in Berkshire, this role offers the opportunity to work within a well-established service supporting adult males with mental health needs, working towards community reintegration.

Essential

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or Health and Care Professions Council
  • Experience working at a supervisory or managerial level within a relevant clinical setting.
  • At least 2 years experience working as a Ward Manager or equivalent.
  • Experience of managing clinical budgets and resources effectively.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop clinical teams.
  • Experience of leading, implementing and reviewing quality improvement initiatives within a relevant clinical environment.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with an understanding of how communication can impact different audiences.
  • Ability to adapt and flex communication style depending on the situation, audience and message.
