The Digital Records Officer will support the delivery of digital records and associated operational services across the Trust.
- Supporting the Clinical Change Advisory Group, including coordination of requests, actions and governance documentation.
- Providing first-line support for Evolve and records-related clinical system issues.
- Supporting EPR digitisation, scanning, migration, data quality and paper-reduction workstreams.
- Coordinating and monitoring post and print services, including supplier performance, service issues and cost improvement opportunities.
- Supporting Medical Records service resilience by maintaining knowledge across key operational areas and providing cover during periods of absence or service pressure.
- Liaising with clinical, operational, digital, IT, Information Governance and supplier teams to resolve issues and support service improvement.
- Monitoring risks, actions and recurring issues, escalating concerns where required.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, or equivalent level of experience and knowledge gained within a health/medical records, information management or clinical administration environment
Desirable
- Working towards, or holds, a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Institute of Health Records & Information Management (IHRIM), records/information management, or a project/change management qualification) or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to health records, information governance or digital/clinical systems
EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Significant experience of working within a Medical/Health Records or clinical administration service in a healthcare setting
- Experience of taking ownership for a defined governance or change-control process (e.g. coordinating and being accountable for the outcomes of a group such as a Clinical Change Advisory Group), including maintaining registers, escalating risks and driving the process forward
Desirable
- Experience of records digitisation, scanning, data migration or transition from paper to digital processes
- Experience of using and supporting electronic document/records management systems and/or Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems (e.g. Evolve, scanning and Ticketing systems)
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
Essential: - Sound knowledge of confidentiality, data protection and information governance principles, including the Data Protection Act 2018/UK GDPR
Desirable: - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and clinical/records systems, with accurate keyboard skills
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Essential: - o Ability and willingness to travel between Trust sites as required by the role
