This role has been introduced to assist the Practice Manager with the use of software across the organisation. It will involve supporting users to get the most out a range of software including AccuRx, Abtrace and Office 365. This role will also play a key part in introducing new systems.
Operations support will also be part of the role, monitoring the achievement of the practice against key targets. It will also support the team with extraction of data from the pateient record system.
Digital Systems Support
- Act as the practice's first point of contact for digital systems and software queries.
- Understand the purpose and functionality of each digital platform.
- Support and train clinical and administrative staff in the effective use of practice software.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows through better use of digital systems.
- Keep up to date with developments in NHS digital technologies and recommend new tools that could benefit the practice.
- Liaise with software suppliers, NHS organisations and IT support providers regarding software developments and implementation.
- Support implementation of new digital solutions and system upgrades.
- Assist with website and social media for the practice.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Run searches and reports using clinical systems, identifying specific cohorts of patients and supporting audits.
- Develop a detailed understanding of practice contractual requirements and monitor practice performance against contractual targets and identify areas requiring action.
- Work with clinicians and managers to improve achievement of contractual indicators.
- Support recall programmes and patient searches where required.
Data Governance (Supporting Role)
- Assist with maintaining compliance with information governance requirements.
- Support data quality initiatives.
- Help maintain digital policies and documentation.
- Promote good information governance practice throughout the organisation.

- Knowledge of information governance and GDPR.
- Experience supporting quality improvement projects.
