Deputy Manager - South Oxon Older Adults CMHT

As Deputy Team Manager you will be a leader and provide line management and supervision to other experienced clinicians. Working as part of the Senior Leadership team you will support the Team Manager with Service development and we offer training opportunities to help you grow and master skills. Holding a complex caseload will allow you to lead by example and still have that important patient contact whilst developing your management skills.

The MDT is made up of Medical, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Psychology colleagues and we highly regard one another's professional background and contribution to the care of our patients. We view supervision as fundamental to the functioning of the team both clinically and in terms of the well being of our staff. The Older Adult Community Mental health teamwork is demanding, complex and diverse but we are a small, cohesive team who are committed to supporting each other and we enjoy what we do!

Core working hours are Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00. Out-of-hours support services are managed via a team rota. You will be expected to work towards joining the on call duty manager roster once you've settled into the role.

Qualifications

Essential: - Relevant Professional Qualification (RMN or Occupational Therapist); - Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio

Desirable: - Qualification in management and leadership within a healthcare setting

Experience

Desirable: - Knowledge of research methodologies; - Experience of implementing research findings into work environment.
