Your focus as Care Home Deputy Manager will be to support the General Manager to operate a compliant and effective person-centred care home providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors, while meeting stringent professional and statutory standards and commercial performance targets. Responsibilities include providing ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team, ensuring medication policies and procedures are adhered to, supporting with the reviewing of medication and administration, monitoring residents' wellbeing, being aware of any changes impacting care and care plans, completing monthly audits and reports as required, and attending weekly clinical meetings to monitor clinical risk areas in the home. Your focus as Care Home Deputy Manager will be to support the General Manager to operate a compliant and effective person-centred care home which provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors, whilst meeting stringent professional and statutory standards and commercial performance targets.
- Providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
- Ensuring that medication policies and procedures are adhered to and support with the reviewing of medication and administration.
- Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans.
- Completing monthly audits, quality indicator report and any other report as required.
- Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas in the home.

- Current NMC PIN and a nursing qualification
- Have a minimum of two years experience working in a similar care environment, in a management position.
- Have excellent leadership and management skills.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and be competent in use of IT systems.
- Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Qualifications
Essential
- Current NMC PIN and a nursing qualification. Minimum of two years experience working in a similar care environment, in a management position. Excellent leadership and management skills. Effective communication skills in both verbal and written forms and competence in the use of IT systems. Adaptability and flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
