Deputy Manager – Residential Care Home Location: Chorley Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience Hours: Full-time Service: Residential Care Home Qualification: Level 5 in Health & Social Care essential/or Equivalent

P4 Recruitment are working in partnership with an established of a Residential care home to recruit an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident care professional who is looking for their next step and wants to play a key role in the continued development of a well-established service. The home has been operating successfully for many of years providing residential care and support to individuals within the local community. The service works closely with Local Authorities and hospitals, supporting people with a range of care and support needs. The home is led by an experienced Registered Manager, having progressed through the organisation and worked her way up into the Registered Manager position. You will therefore be joining a stable and experienced leadership team with a strong understanding of the service and its residents. About the Role As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care. You will be expected to be a visible and confident leader within the service, supporting staff, maintaining high standards and helping to drive positive improvements. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Registered Manager with the operational management of the home.Providing strong leadership and direction to the care team.Supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centred residential care.Completing and contributing to care assessments and reviews.Working closely with Local Authorities, hospitals and other external professionals.Supporting care planning, risk assessments and safeguarding processes.Ensuring the service remains compliant with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.Supporting staff development, supervision and performance management.Identifying areas for improvement and helping implement positive change.Building strong relationships with residents, families, professionals and colleagues.Acting as a senior point of contact and providing leadership in the Registered Manager's absence. About You We are looking for an experienced care professional who is ready to take the next step in their career or an established Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge. You will ideally have:
Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care / or EquivalentPrevious experience working within residential care or a similar social care environment.Strong experience undertaking assessments, care planning and reviews.Experience working alongside Local Authorities, hospitals and other professionals.Strong knowledge of safeguarding, compliance and quality standards.Excellent leadership and communication skills.The confidence to challenge appropriately and make decisions.A proactive approach to improving services and outcomes.The ability to motivate and develop a team.A genuine commitment to providing high-quality care.Ideally, you will be local to the service.
