Deputy Care Manager

We have a brand new and exciting position for a Deputy Manager to join a thriving domiciliary care provider based in the Coventry area. You will support in the day-to-day running of a domiciliary care service, ensuring high quality, person-centred care is delivered in line with regulatory standards. The Deputy Manager will help lead, supervise, and develop care staff while maintaining compliance and promoting excellent service delivery. There is real scope for this role to grow into a Registered Manager opportunity in the future! Duties include:

Support the management of care services to ensure safe, effective, and responsive care.Ensure care plans are person-centred, up-to-date, and regularly reviewed.Conduct quality monitoring, spot checks, and audits.Promote dignity, independence, and choice for service users.Assist in recruiting, training, supervising, and appraising care staff.Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the care team.Participate in disciplinary and performance management processes where required.Support inspections and ensure readiness at all times.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.Assist with care assessments, risk assessments, and care package reviews.Ensure continuity of care and effective scheduling.Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.Promote a safe working environment for staff and service users.Ensure safeguarding policies are followed and concerns are reported appropriately. What you will need:

Strong experience in domiciliary care setting.Strong knowledge of care standards and regulations.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to manage staff and prioritise workload.Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
