Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dental Therapist to join Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Dental Services. Experience of worki...
- Perform a wide range of clinical and preventative dental procedures on referral from a dentist in line with current Scope of Practice.
- Provide dental care on a domiciliary basis where required.
- To participate in training and carry out extended duties where appropriate for example in conscious sedation.
- To provide oral health advice and instruction in line with Delivering Better Oral Health and MECC.
- Comply with National Trust and Dental Services policies, procedures and guidance, NHS PDS Regulationso To keep contemporaneous clinical records using the preferred record keeping system.
- You can be expected to work at any of the sites across LSCft Dental Services.

Qualifications
Essential
- Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy or equivalent
- Dental indemnity insurance
- Full GDC registration without restriction
Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge of NHS PDS Regulations
- Knowledge of Scope of Practice
- Effective planner/organiser
Experience
Essential
- Evidence of clinical and non-clinical leadership and management skills
- Evidence of continual professional development both general and role specific
- Evidence of providing both urgent and routine care on a regular basis
