As a senior member of the team, you will lead the planning and delivery of a varied and engaging programme of activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social connection, enabling individuals to remain active and involved in a safe and supportive environment.

Owned and operated by South Gloucestershire Council, Cambrian Green offers a welcoming and stimulating environment where individuals can socialise, access meaningful activities and maintain connections within their community, while also providing valuable support and reassurance to families and carers.

  • It will be your responsibility to plan and coordinate a diverse programme of activities that provide meaningful occupation, enjoyment and social opportunities for service users.
  • Using your expertise, you will develop a good understanding of service users strengths, preferences and support needs, working collaboratively with health professionals, volunteers and community partners to help people achieve positive outcomes.

  • You must have experience of leading, supporting and supervising a team, providing day-to-day guidance and leadership.
  • It is essential that you have considerable experience of working in a similar service area with service users who have complex needs linked to dementia, including those with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
  • You will have a good understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and best practice, including safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety.

What you need to know

  • Please note that due to the nature of this role it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained for this post.

Interviews are likely to be held week commencing 16th November 2026.
