Contracts Buyer - Swindon, Salisbury or Bath

This is an important procurement role which requires robust stakeholder engagement skills, knowledge and expertise.

The post holder will have a working knowledge of Public Sector procurement and contracting and should be able to demonstrate a track record of running end-to-end procurement or tenders. Ideally the candidate will be CIPS level 4 qualified.

The role also requires an individual with commercial acumen and the ability to successfully represent the Procurement function at meetings. These will take place both virtually and via frequent attendance at multiple Trust sites.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to meet the Trusts core values and should be able to evidence commitment to continuous professional development.

The post holder will need to contribute to the procurement functions standardisation, collaboration and continual improvement drives, to deliver an improved ICS in which value for money is obtained from all supplier expenditure.

Qualification

Essential: - CIPS level 4; - HND in Business; - Public Procurement Experience; - Category Management; - Interpersonal Skills; - Negotiation - commercial experience

Desirable: - 2:1 relevant degree; - NHS Experience; - Project Management
