There is the opportunity for home reporting with equipment provided by the Trust. You will be expected to participate in the on call rota, currently 1 in 12. Overnight and weekend on-call working is supported by teleradiology with outsourcing for CT/MRI from 7pm to 9am on weekdays and 3pm to 9am at weekends. There is a separate networked Interventional Radiology on-call rota.
Applicants must have FRCR or equivalent and are expected to hold, or to obtain within six months, UK Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training and entry on the Specialist Register.

- Repayment clause applies to both the welcome payment and assistance with relocation. Payments for the £12,000 welcome payment will be made in the following £4,000 on joining the trust, a further £4,000 on 13th month of service and a final £4,000 payment on your 25th month of service. This welcome payment is only open to applicants joining us as a full-time or part-time permanent General Radiology Consultant with a subspecialist interest.
A relocation payment of up to £8,000 in addition is also on offer to applicants who are joining us as a full-time or part-time permanent. This is not open to locum/fixed term contacts. Payment for relocation is paid once you have commenced with the trust and is subject to relevant terms and conditions. **

Qualifications
Essential
- Possession, or within 6 months of possession, of a CCT in Radiology leading to entry onto GMC Specialist Register
- FRCR or equivalent
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice

- Ability to perform effectively as a member of a team, including a multidisciplinary team and to motivate and develop staff
- Demonstrates clarity in written and spoken communication
- To be empathetic and sensitive; capacity to take others perspective and treat others with understanding
- Demonstration of an interest and commitment to teaching
Experience
Essential
- Evidence of wide experience and a high level of competence in General Radiology including US, CT and MRI, and Specialist Radiology
- Experience in managing risk and knows when to seek help, able to prioritise clinical need
- Knowledge and application of up to date evidence based practice
