To cover all medical aspects of pain medicine within Pain services across HIOWFHT as a team that can be safely delivered remotely and provide leadersh...

  • Maintain the highest clinical standards in the management of patients with persistent pain.
  • Deliver specialist remote outpatient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Deliver evidence-based opinions on diagnosis, utilising imaging and other investigations where appropriate, either directly with patients or in clinical meetings.
  • Offer expert advice on imaging, pathology, and complex differential diagnoses.
  • Support medication management
  • Provide telephone or electronic clinical management of patients as required.
  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and informed consent processes.
  • Manage referrals, provide triage, advice, and guidance, and oversee discharge planning.
  • Deliver outpatient services remotely for people with persistent pain

Qualifications

Essential

  • FRCA or equivalent
  • CCT in Anaesthesia or within six months of CCT or eligibility for entry on GMC specialist register
  • Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine
