Consultant Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist

The role will require detailed and specialist neuropsychological assessment, formulation and rehabilitation for patients with highly complex cognitive, emotional and behavioural difficulties in the context of a neurological condition.

There will be opportunity to undertake individual, family as well as the opportunity to develop group work for young people with neurological conditions.

The successful applicant will work closely with the medical, nursing and therapy colleagues providing joint working, consultation and training as well as developing pathways across and within services. It is expected that the post holder will have a trainee clinical psychologist on placement and will provide supervision to the trainee as well as other colleagues across acute and community organisations.

The postholder will also be expected to provide line management as required.

It is anticipated that applicants will have completed the knowledge component of the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology. Ongoing supervision and support will given for applicants wanting to achieve the practice component of the QiCN and entry onto the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychology (if this has not already been completed). Supervision will be provided by a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist.
