Make a Real Difference in a Child's Life Reed Community Care is looking for compassionate and experienced Community Support Workers to support children and young people across Tameside. Working on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis, you will play a vital role in helping children build independence, improve their wellbeing, and access opportunities within their local community. The Role As a Community Support Worker, you will:

Provide dedicated 1:1 and 2:1 support to children and young people within community settings.Encourage independence, confidence, and the development of daily living skills.Support children to participate in social, educational, and recreational activities.Follow tailored, person-centred support plans to meet individual needs and outcomes.Build positive, professional relationships that promote trust and emotional wellbeing.Assist with attending appointments, community activities, and local services.Observe, record, and report any concerns relating to a child's safety or wellbeing.Maintain high standards of care while adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures. Requirements To be considered, you will need:

A minimum of 6 months' experience supporting children within a care, support, education, or community-based setting.Experience providing 1:1 or 2:1 support is highly desirable.A strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and professional boundaries.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.The ability to work independently and as part of a team.A valid DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service (support is available for new applications).The right to work in the UK.
