  • Deliver safe and effective OPAT and IV treatment in community settings
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
  • Administer intravenous antimicrobial therapy and IV therapy
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to clinical concerns
  • Support patients and carers to manage treatment safely at home
  • Work collaboratively with hospital and community multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in service development, audit and quality improvement initiatives

Role Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration
  • At least 1 year post registration experience with preferably IV skills and competencies
  • Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills
  • Passion for delivering outstanding patient-centred care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to learning and developing specialist OPAT and IV skills
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Willingness to undertake specialist OPAT and intravenous therapy training
