- To deliver high quality care to the housebound patients of Paignton and Brixham and work as part of multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with primary care and secondary care.
- An ability to effectively communicate routine information to patients/carers where co-operation is required and where there may be barriers to understanding
- Responsible for planning and organising own day to day work tasks and activities within an occasionally unpredictable environment
- To obtain high quality blood samples from patients in the home environment

Qualifications and training
Essential
- Trained Phlebotomist
- Good general education
Knowledge and experience
Essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic IT skills / ability to use ICE electronic system
- Ability to maintain accurate written records
Specific Skills
Essential
- Previous experience of working in the home environment
- Manual dexterity for collection of blood samples from patients
Desirable
- Broad range of simple nursing procedures eg. Venepuncture, BP monitoring
