Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a service that puts patient care first. You will have the time and support to make a real difference eve...

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 mental health nurse to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. As a community mental health nurse, you will have a genuine interest in working with adults experiencing enduring and complex mental health problems including their carers and families.

As a registered professional this is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to develop their leadership and clinical skills within a community setting. As a core member of the team, you will support patients through the combined pathway of care focusing on recovery and improving quality of life. You will demonstrate excellent assessment skills, interpersonal, and team working skills and be able to work collaboratively with a range of statutory and third sector agencies.

You will have an enthusiastic approach towards your own personal and professional development. In return, you will receive regular appraisal, clinical, management and caseload supervision and will benefit from the support of an experienced, committed and friendly multi-disciplinary leadership team.

We are the Mental Health & Learning Disability NHS Trust for County Durham and Darlington, Teesside, North Yorkshire, York and Selby.

We nurture the recovery journey of anyone in need of our help. In Our Trust, everyone has a say in how they are supported and treated because we listen to every person in our care until they feel understood. Our patients, their families and carers work together with us towards better mental health.

We're committed to new thinking that improves the wellbeing of our region. We connect with our communities and partners to get mental health care right, in areas that really need it.
