Healthcare Assistant
The main duties of the job will include the following:
- Wound Care
- Continence management, including catheter care.
- Pressure area care.
- Communication to all staff within the Integrated Community Team alongside use of a laptop to write patient records within Systmone.

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.
Education, Qualifications and Training

- Health and Social Care Qualification or willing to work towards

- Able to work over a 7 day week
- Due to the nature of the role, the post holder must be able to travel across a wide geographical area, often with equipment, and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes
Experience
Essential
- Working in Health and Social Care setting
- Experience working independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience caring for people at the end of their life
- Experience using IT systems and electronic care records
- Experience working in the NHS
