The role Staff and Walton Out Care Services is looking for kind, reliable Community Care Workers to support people in the comfort of their own homes. Reporting to the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you will provide practical and personal support that helps service users feel safe, respected and as independent as possible. No two visits will be exactly the same. You may be helping someone prepare for the day, supporting them with a meal or simply offering reassurance and companionship. Key Responsibilities Your role may include:

Supporting service users with washing, dressing and personal careHelping people get up, go to bed and move safely around their homeProviding continence and bowel carePreparing meals and assisting with eating and drinkingCompleting agreed household tasks, including laundry, shopping and light houseworkSupporting medication, including prescribed insulin where trained and authorisedMonitoring skin condition, pressure areas and general wellbeingRecognising and reporting changes in physical, mental or emotional healthFollowing care plans, risk assessments and professional guidanceSupporting service users with feeding tubes, mobility equipment or non-invasive ventilation where appropriately trainedProviding support to people with cognitive impairments or behaviours that challengeWorking alongside GPs, nurses and specialist teams when providing end-of-life careYou will always remember that you are working in someone’s home.
