In this role, you will provide high-quality administrative support within a fast-paced commissioning environment, helping the team to stay organised, efficient and responsive.
You will coordinate meetings, manage diaries, prepare documentation and support the smooth running of day-to-day activities. You will also support the team in maintaining accurate records, tracking actions and ensuring information is up to date and accessible.
The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. You will need to be confident communicating with a range of stakeholders and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in administration, communication and coordination, while gaining exposure to commissioning and contracting processes within the NHS.
The postholder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Commissioning & Contracts team, ensuring the effective coordination of activities across programmes and contracts.
Key responsibilities include organising meetings, preparing and distributing documentation, taking minutes and tracking actions. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, supporting data management processes and assisting with the preparation of reports and presentations.
The postholder will act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, responding to queries and supporting effective communication across the team. They will contribute to the organisation of events, workshops and meetings, ensuring all logistics are managed efficiently.
The role requires the ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment. A high level of attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills are essential.
The postholder will work collaboratively within the team and provide cross-cover where required, contributing to the smooth running of the Commissioning & Contracts function.

Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to A-level or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience
Desirable
- RSA 3 secretarial qualification or equivalent qualification
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working on multiple parallel tasks to strict and often tight deadlines and able to work calmly under pressure maintaining control and confidence
- Able to transcribe data in a timely and consistently accurate manner with excellent attention to detail
- Experience of supporting the management of information systems and development of databases and spreadsheets
- Relevant and significant clerical/ administrative experience in a busy office
Desirable
- Experience of supporting Mental Health services
- Experience of formal minute taking to a senior level
Knowledge
Essential
- Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office 365 apps including Microsoft Forms
- Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act
