The shifts are predominantly 12hours covering days nights, weekends and bank holidays. Rota is completed based on service need and this may change to support this.
As a Clinical Support worker in a multi-disciplinary team, you will work with other health and social care professionals to develop the ethos of multi-disciplinary, integrated care and a seamless services ensuring that patient care is delivered to the highest possible standard.As a Clinical Support worker , you will work under the direction of a registered nurse undertaking a range of delegated patient nursing and care duties including clinical observations and recording patient information. This will include supporting patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
You will, on many occasions work without direct supervision, assessing patients, implementing care within the hospital setting, providing advice and education to patients, carers and colleagues and maintain associated patients records. Carry out nursing procedures.
Flexible working is required to meet the needs of the patients group.

Qualifications
Essential
- Level 3 vocational qualification or Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties or Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3
- Theoretical knowledge
- Experience of a range of care and related procedures
- Clinical observations
- Knowledge of data protection legislation and health and safety at work legislation
- National Care Certificate or commitment to complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment
- Numeracy and Literacy Level 2
Desirable: - Undertaken relevant additional training for Clinical Support Workers
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in health or social care
- Experience of undertaking and recording clinical observations and escalating changes or findings
- Working knowledge of legislation underpinning care provision
- Understanding of the importance of robust, accurate, clear, timely documentation
- Insight into behaviours and skills of a carer and the need for effective team work
- Knowledge of Safeguarding
- Understanding work-related boundaries
- Awareness of GDPR and the need for confidentiality
Desirable
- Familiarity with current NHS and social care policies
- Computer skills
- Clinical policies and procedures
- Evidence of understanding of Trust Business
- Experience of working in the Trust previously
