- Ensuring accurate and timely coding of clinical information onto patient records
- Summarising patient records in a clear, concise and clinically meaningful format
- Supporting clinicians with accessible, well-structured patient histories
- Maintaining data quality standards in line with NHS and Practice requirements
- Contributing to improved patient outcomes through accurate record keeping and reporting

- Supporting clinicians with accessible, well-structured patient histories on Systmone
- Maintaining data quality standards in line with NHS and Practice requirements
- Contributing to improved patient outcomes through accurate record keeping and reporting
- Entering Read coded data into computerised medical records from letters/reports received from secondary care clinicians.
We are a large practice located in Warrington serving a population of around 12523 patients. The practice has a friendly, supportive team who work closely. This consists of 5 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, 2 advanced nurse practitioners, 3 practice nurses, 2 pharmacy technicians, 2 healthcare assistants, 3 Managers and a team of 10 Administrators.
We are part of an active PCN and have good working relationships while sharing good practice with one another.
Experience
Essential
- Experience of administrative work in a healthcare or office setting. Experience handling confidential information.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience of coding and summarising.
Desirable: - Experience within Primary Care. Experience of clinical coding and summarising Patient records and correspondence. Experience using Systmone.
Qualifications
Essential: - GCSE (or equivalent) in English (Grade C Level 4 or above)
Desirable: - Clinical Coding qualification (e.g. AMSPAR or equivalent)
