You will manage an autonomous caseload, assess and treat complex

AHP Suffolk CIC is a staff lead, specialist musculoskeletal Social Enterprise, our aim and purpose is to provide high quality accessible NHS commissioned health care to support people return to optimal health and stay healthy. Set up as a social enterprise over 13 years ago, we provide NHS commissioned MSK Physiotherapy services from multiple sites across Suffolk, from community hospitals, health centres, gyms, and GP surgeries. We have developed and run U Refer, a successful web-based self-referral platform, and single point of referral for secondary care, and offer virtual and face to face clinical appointments, exercise classes and 121 rehabilitation.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Diploma or degree in Physiotherapy
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Member of the CSP or equivalent professional liability insurance
  • Evidence of up-to-date, relevant CPD
  • Relevant postgraduate learning or equivalent specialist development

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualification or working towards Masters level study
  • Membership of a relevant special interest group
  • Leadership, supervision or management training

Experience

Essential

  • Extensive post-registration MSK physiotherapy experience
  • Demonstrable specialist knowledge and experience in assessment and management of complex MSK presentations
  • Experience of supervising, coaching and mentoring others
  • Experience of supporting or delivering clinical education and in-service training
  • Experience of audit, service evaluation or quality improvement
  • Ability to apply advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to support safe clinical decision making
  • Excellent knowledge of clinical risk assessment, safeguarding principles and risk management
  • Knowledge of primary care, community services and wider patient pathways

Desirable

  • Experience of extended scope or advanced practice within MSK services
  • Involvement in research activity
  • Experience of developing clinical pathways, protocols or competency frameworks
