- develop and deliver the procurement savings strategy in theatres (target of £500,000 per annum)
- Facilitate trials of alternate products
- negotiate favourable contractual terms with suppliers
- monitor and manage supplier performance against agreed terms
- produce and present analysis on spend data to clinical leaders
- act as a conduit between procurement and theatres
- collaborate with peer organisations across Kent & Medway to drive standardisation and benefit from economies of scale.

Qualifications
Essential: - Degree standard of education in business or clinical nursing/theatre practitioner qualification
Desirable: - MCIPS full by qualification or other relevant professional qualification or commercial experience; - PRINCE 2 Foundation
Experience/Knowledge
Essential
- Advanced knowledge of contracts, procurement legislation and purchasing procedures
- Experience of working in a clinical setting or equivalent specialist knowledge of clinical products
- Advanced knowledge of procurement statistical analysis, option modelling and benefit realisation
- Proven track record in innovation with an ability to inspire
- Demonstrable experience of influencing people and leading change projects
Skills
Essential
- Calm influencing and persuasive skills in negotiating both internally and externally
- Good presentation skills
- Good organisational skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Good working knowledge of Integra eSeries and / or a similar finance and procurement systems
