Ward 43 Clinical Sisters / Charge Nurse are responsible for continually aiming for high standards of care and supporting the management team. In turn the management team will support your professional development and offer guidance for your career goals. The post holder will be expected to coordinate the ward and work clinically. An understanding of the operational demands and clinical pressures are essential whilst maintaining quality of care and patient safety.
Neurosurgical experience is not essential.

Qualifications and Training
Essential
- Current Professional Registration
- First level degree or willingness to undertake
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Teaching and Assessing Qualification or willingness to undertake
- Study at level 6 (degree/ diploma)
Desirable: - oCompleted Assessor Course
Experience
Essential: - oProfessional clinical experience in appropriate specialty oAbility to successfully manage people and change
Desirable: - oExperience in HR and Management Related Issues oResource Management
Knowledge
Essential
- A knowledgeable clinician with the ability to apply evidence based practice
- A sound knowledge of professional policies and procedures
- Knowledge of clinical governance & a commitment to clinical supervision and staff development
Desirable: - oA good understanding of current issues relating to the NHS. oExperience in Policy/Service Development
