Provide administrative support to the
Clinical Services Team with regard to GMS and Non GMS work including the Quality
Outcome Framework (QOF), Enhanced Services, AQP Contracts and any other schemes
as required
Liaising with and supporting the
clinical team and the practice staff, other contractors that are associated with the practice as well third parties as necessary
Effective use of IT/software to assist
in management of practice population including EMIS, Ardens and iPlato etc
Utilise EMIS searches and reports for chronic
disease monitoring, other monitoring and clinical audits as required
Assist with mail merges and text
messaging campaigns to support chronic disease management, vaccinations
campaigns as well as other information which may include health promotion or
patient feedback
documents and basic coding as required
To attend internal and external
meetings as appropriate
To keep up to date with mandatory and
role specific training as well as attend training courses and other events
relating to the role.
Helping to solve day-to-day issues with
IT, systems, workloads, etc as they arise
To keep up-to-date with the Policies
and Procedures of the organisation
Undertake any other duties appropriate
to the role.
The successful candidate will want to help
develop and maintain systems that improve outcomes and experiences for the
practice population. They will be proactive, have excellent organisational
skills and be able to prioritise their own and others workloads to enable them
to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.

Medical Practice's priority is to provide the highest standard of clinical care
to the 24,000 patients registered with the Practice as well as those from other
practices who are seen in our additional clinics. We aim to work
collaboratively with other healthcare providers and support organisations, to
enable more patients to be treated in a primary care setting, closer to home.
We embrace a continuous improvement ethos and strive to ensure that we are
available to patients when they need a consultation. We have a holistic
approach to patient care and a strong training ethos within the practice with a
team of medical and non-medical educators as well as opportunities for
non-clinical staff to develop and progress.
Experience
Essential: - Ability to follow policy and procedures; - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software including excel
Desirable
- Understanding/experience with regard to GP Contracts, the Quality Outcome Framework and Enhanced Services etc
- Familiarity with:
- EMIS Web including templates, searches etc
- DART, Docman, Health Options, Ardens and iPlato etc
