As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for patients and their families participating in clinical trials within NICU. You will be people focused in your approach; recruiting, educating and monitoring those in the trial, and will collect and document your findings accurately.
You will have excellent communication skills with a positive and flexible approach to the workload. You should be a qualified Registered Nurse or have vast experience as a Band 4, working within maternity or NICU, preferably with research experience.
Because this post is for a time limited period, applicants who are currently employed by an NHS organisation will only be appointed on a secondment basis, please ensure you have spoken to your line manager and have their support prior to your application. Applicants who are not employed by an NHS organisation, will receive a fixed term contract.

Qualifications

- Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC register OR Degree in a health, life science or research related subject or equivalent experience working within a clinical research environment.

- Flexible and adaptable approach to work in a variety of areas, i.e. clinics, wards, NIHR CRF facility
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to work well as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage own workload
- Clinical skills relevant to the role e.g. phlebotomy, cannulation, ECG recording, administration of IV infusions
