  • To provide a Clinical Pharmacy service to designated wards under the supervision of a Senior of Principal Pharmacist, assessing the suitability of prescribed medicines.
  • To participate in the delivery of ward and dispensary based pharmaceutical services and maintain clinical and technical skills.
  • To ensure that medicines, including Controlled Drugs, are stored appropriately on wards and departments, performing stock checks when required.

Qualifications

Essential: - Masters degree in pharmacy; - Membership of the GPhC

Experience and Skills

Essential

  • UK NHS hospital pre-registration
  • Recent experience as a Clinical Pharmacist on acute, medical and surgical wards
  • Range of NHS hospital pharmacy services
  • Excellent communication skills on both a verbal and written basis

Desirable: - Recent UK NHS hospital experience as a registered Pharmacist
