We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Breast Oncology Team. In this role, you will: provide a comprehensive service for patients ...
- Manage a specified case load of patients, providing information and support, to enable patients to make informed choices about their care and understand the rational of investigations and treatments
- Ensure that patients are seen within recommended time scales and targets where these are in place
- Visit inpatients as appropriate to ensure continuity of care and to give advice/ support
- Undertake a comprehensive assessment of the patient's symptoms and in liaison with the Medical team organise investigations as required
- Supply and/or administer medication according to Patient Group Directions or in accordance with the Trust's Prescribing Policy for registered nurse prescribers
- Provide ongoing support for newly diagnosed and existing patients, their family and carers
- To interpret pathology, histology and radiological results, discuss with consultant and take appropriate action as required.

Qualifications

- Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC Register
- Post Registration qualification relevant to the speciality
Experience

- Significant post-registration experience including some in a position relevant to the speciality
