The post holder will provide effective leadership to the ward team, supporting the Ward Manager and Specialist Nurse in delivering high-quality, patient-centred, evidence-based care. We are seeking a confident and motivated registered nurse with the skills and experience to lead the delivery of safe and effective care whilst contributing to service improvement and development.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a compassionate approach to care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. They will be responsible for developing and implementing individualised care plans through comprehensive assessment and clinical formulation.

The role includes coordinating clinical practice, supervising and supporting Staff Nurses and Nursing Assistants, and leading the management of complex mental and physical health needs. The post holder will ensure high standards of care are maintained through effective clinical leadership, professional supervision, and role modelling.

The successful candidate will support the achievement of key performance indicators, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures and promoting continuous improvement. They will provide operational leadership across a 24-hour service, working flexibly across day and night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays as required.

Education and Qualification

Essential

  • Professional Nursing qualification e.g.RMN/RNMH/ RNLD
  • ENB 998 / P126/127 or equivalent.
  • Student Assessor /Mentor

  • Qualification to Degree level
