The Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at UHD are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Clinical fellow in trauma. ...
Work alongside our existing specialty doctors and registrars to provide care to inpatients including new admissions
Supervision and support of junior medical colleagues, Physicians Associates and Advanced Nurse Practitioners/Advanced Clinical Practitioners
Maintaining continued professional development
Attending ward multidisciplinary meetings
Attending and contributing to educational sessions and Clinical Governance meetings
Partaking in departmental Quality Improvement work
Participating in the hospital appraisal process as part of on-going professional development
Weekend working will be expected in this role

There is a planned move for this service anticipated during Winter 2026when thisrole and base of work will relocate to Poole Hospital. Upon relocation of the role/service, excess mileage allowance / reimbursement will not apply, and any travel between the postholders home and work base will be classified as a commute. Any other changes unrelated to this, will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions.

This service has a planned move from Poole site to Bournemouthsite on Early next year.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.

Qualifications and Training

- Eligibility or valid/relevant GMC registration
- Basic medical qualification

- Able to speak English as necessary for the role
- Computer literate
