- To support the wider NHS agenda to develop and expand access to psychological provision.
- Working within the identified clinical area, within an appropriate scope of practice in a semiautonomous manner to utilise psychological knowledge, research and theory to reduce psychological distress and to enhance psychological wellbeing of service users and carers.
- Ensuring the continuing development of a person centred, recovery focused model of care, enhancing service user and carer involvement.
- Management of a defined client caseload delivering interventions in accordance with NICE guidance and considering the needs of the carer/family.
- To work as a semi-autonomous psychological practitioner under the direct supervision of an experienced and HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist.
- To provide specialist psychological services to adults who present with complex mental health difficulties and whose needs can be met through the group interventions and one to one assessment, formulation and brief intervention.
- To work as a member of the Shropshire PCN / Primary Care Psychology Team based in South West Shropshire to provide effective evidence-based care in line with National and local guidelines.
- To manage a caseload and be responsible for proactive care delivery decisions within the scope of practice and under the supervision of an experienced and HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist.
- To plan, assess, implement and evaluate programmes of care.

Essential: - Completion of accredited Clinical Associate in Psychology (ADULT) apprenticeship MSc.; - Experieince of working as a CAP in Adult MH
Desirable: - Evidence of training/CPD to develop knowledge and theory relevant to work in the specialism.
