  • Seeking Band 6 children's nurses with motivation to work in our Children's Community Nursing Service.
  • Requires the ability to work autonomously and within a collaborative nursing team.
  • Involvement in acute and long-term condition treatments and teaching.
  • Experienced and competent in the safe administration of intravenous (IV) medications.
  • Car driver with a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Children's Nurse and Supervisor/Assessor qualification
  • Intravenous medication certificate and competency.

Desirable

  • Cytotoxic medication administration competency

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of safeguarding procedures with children/families and young people
  • Post registration experience in a range of settings

Desirable

  • Relevant community experience

Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Demonstrate ability to work independently showing initiative and decision making.

Desirable

  • Competent in the use of enteral feeding devices and central venous access devices.

Other

Essential

  • Have a current driving license and access to a car for work purposes.
