Qualifications

Essential

  • One of the following: NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, Childcare or equivalent.
  • NNEB
  • Experience equivalent to the above qualifications
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Math's or equivalent
  • Completion of Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support (that maps to the Apprenticeship Standard for Senior Health Care Support Worker), or
  • Equivalent experience together with Level 2 qualification in childcare, Health and Social Care or equivalent and working towards Level 3

Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrate the ability to work without direct supervision once trained and deemed competent to provide delegated clinical skills.

Desirable

  • Experience of working with children and young people with special needs
  • Experience of team working
  • Experience of working variable shift patterns to include nightshifts
