First point of contact for telephone queries, re-directing and escalating any issues, as appropriate.
Arrange various meetings on behalf of the Nurse Assessors including Multi-disciplinary Meetings (MDTs) and Review meetings.
Inputting/updating patient data system.
You will be the first point of contact for telephone queries. This could be from a variety of sources including colleagues, other professionals or members of the public.
Inputting case notes and accurately updating the data management system is an important and integral part of the role, where attention to detail is essential.
Good communication skills along with the ability to plan and prioritise your workload is essential.
Arranging various meetings on behalf of the Nurse Assessors, such as MDTs and Review meetings.

Knowledge
Essential
- Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access
- Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act
Desirable: - Knowledge of NHS issues
Qualifications
Essential: - English GCSE or equivalent; - IT skills/relevant qualifications
Desirable: - Typing qualifications
Experience
Essential: - Administrative/ secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems; - Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public
Desirable: - Experience of minute taking
Competencies
Essential
- Clear communicator with excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills: capable of constructing and delivering clear information/ instructions to staff and service users; ability to handle sensitive situations
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment and able to multi-task
- Effective team working
