  • Significant Medical Leadership experience

  • To support the Clinical Delivery Group Leads, and wider Leadership, particularly in relation to achieving significant and sustained improvements in the quality of clinical services provided by the Group and the way all staff groups are trained and developed.
  • Contribute to the overall management of the CDG with specific responsibility for medical advice in relation to the CDG operational issues.
  • To support Hospital relationships with external agencies including BSol, NHSE, professional bodies and regulators.

  • To provide visible, effective medical leadership, including direct line management of Clinical Service Leads (CSLs) within the CDG.
  • As a member of the CDG Leadership Team, to ensure effective clinical and operational performance - leading transformation and improvement across the CDG.
  • Working alongside the ADNs, be responsible for providing senior leadership for clinical quality and patient safety and its governance and improvement within the CDG.
  • Act as " day to day " medical leader for the CDG.
  • Oversee medical workforce development and professionalism as the basis of clinical quality and productivity and positive patient experience at specialty level
  • Support the clinical services in the CDG to deliver Hospital and Trust priorities and service level objectives.
  • Support and promote an organisational culture committed to professional respect and to learning from complaints, incidents, audit, research and development.
  • Promote an organisational culture that facilitates team-working in the design, management and delivery of clinical services, ensuring medical staff are active in implementing holistic models of care.
  • To deputise for the Hospital Medical Director when required.

Qualifications

Essential: - Qualified Medical or Dental professional, GMC or GDC registered; - Unblemished registration with GMC.; - Evidence of continuing professional development
