The successful candidate will have up to date experience in a hospital setting delivering care. A foundation degree in health or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
They will have experience in delivering clinical education or have had a mentorship/ supervisory role in practice. They will be familiar with the Care Certificate induction and its standards and be able to teach new support staff on induction to the hospital, including resuscitation and vital signs.
Microsoft skills will be required to enable them to plan lessons and create PowerPoint presentations for teaching . Delivery of the level 2 and level 3 healthcare apprenticeship teaching and assessing will be part of this role so having the TAQA qualification would be essential.

Here at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, we provide a full range of district general services, including 24-hour urgent and emergency care, specialist children's services, maternity and community midwifery to the population of North Derbyshire - around 400,000 local people.We also offer primary care services through nine GP surgeries in Chesterfield and Derbyshire. Qualifications
Essential
- Maths and English at GCSE GRADE C/4 or Level 2 Functional skills.
- Level 5 foundation degree in health or equivalent relevant teaching qualification.
- Teaching and assessing qualification for apprenticeships (TAQA)
Desirable
- Care Certificate Supervisor or mentor
Experience
Essential
- Recent acute clinical experience within a hospital setting.
- Ability to teaching a skill
- Supervision in practice
Desirable
- Clinical teaching experience
- Experience of coordinating staff

- Sound presentation skills
- Up to date knowledge of healthcare related conditions
- Awareness of the Care certificate standards
