Main Duties of the Job- Provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for patients (face-to-face and telephone)
- Assess patient needs using care navigation techniques and signpost to appropriate services
- Book appointments and manage clinician diaries effectively
- Handle patient enquiries sensitively and confidentially
- Support the smooth running of reception and administrative systems
- Liaise with clinical and external healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with NHS and GDPR standards
Person SpecificationEssential- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic IT skills
- A caring and patient-focused approach
Desirable- Previous experience in a GP practice, NHS, or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of care navigation/signposting
- Experience using clinical systems (e.g. EMIS)
