Client Welfare Manager
Location: Office-based with regular client visitsJob Type: Part-time/Full-time (flexible working arrangements considered)Salary: Negotiable, dependent upon experience We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Client Welfare Manager to support older and vulnerable clients in managing their personal welfare, care arrangements, and financial affairs. This role offers a rewarding and varied opportunity to work closely with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies, ensuring the highest standard of support while safeguarding their wellbeing and interests. Day-to-day of the role:
Meet with and advise clients and their families regarding care options, welfare issues, benefits entitlement, and residential care matters.Build positive and trusting relationships with older and vulnerable clients.Conduct regular welfare visits at home, in hospital, or within care settings.Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure their wishes and best interests are represented.Provide guidance on the operation and activation of Powers of Attorney.Assist with the day-to-day administration of clients' financial affairs, liaising with banks, pension providers, and other agencies.Coordinate care packages, residential placements, and specialist support services.Attend care reviews and professional meetings, responding proactively to changes in client needs.Recognise and address signs of abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation, promoting client safety. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working with older adults and/or vulnerable individuals.Strong knowledge of welfare benefits and support systems relating to older people.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally.Sound judgement and problem-solving skills.Good IT skills.Desirable: Social Work qualification, experience within Adult Social Care, knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, and a full UK driving licence.
