  • Lead procurement and appointment of architects, cost consultants, engineers and other professional advisers.
  • Coordinate design development activities through to RIBA Stage 4 Technical Design.
  • Support the preparation of Strategic Outline, Outline and Full Business Cases as required.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement with pharmacy teams, clinical services, operational managers and external partners.
  • Manage project programmes, risks, actions and reporting arrangements.
  • Coordinate technical, clinical, operational and financial inputs to support investment decisions.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and governance papers for senior management and Trust approvals.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with NHS guidance, Trust objectives and approved timescales.We are looking for an individual with:
  • Experience of managing capital, healthcare planning, construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of NHS business case development and governance processes.
  • Experience of appointing and managing professional advisers and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and project management skills.
  • The ability to coordinate complex programmes involving multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in project management, construction, estates, healthcare planning or a related discipline.

Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience of working in a management/leadership role
  • Experience in managing or leading a team
  • Project management/co-ordination
  • Responsibility for a budget

Qualifications

Essential

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification or significant experience of working at degree level
  • Management /leadership qualification or equivalent knowledge at post graduate level
  • Evidence of continued professional development

Desirable

  • Project Management Qualification

Knowledge

Essential

  • Financial procedures including budgetary management
  • Business planning /annual planning
  • Good understanding of change management
  • Expertise in spreadsheets and use of wider IT systems (e.g. Word , Excel, Outlook)
  • Understanding of the NHS and current agenda
  • Demonstrable knowledge of service improvements and project management
  • Risk management and governance
