Education and qualifications
Essential
- 5 GCSEs / NVQ Level III or equivalent, including English and Maths
- IT skills or qualifications to ECDL/RSA standard, or equivalent experience
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Essential
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
- Excellent time management skills, with an ability to prioritise to ensure efficient workload completion
- Demonstrate excellent organisation and administrative skills
- Ability to communicate verbal and written information clearly
- Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Desirable
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of patient administration systems (PAS)
- Basic knowledge of medical, anatomical, and oncological terminology
- An understanding of the current national issues affecting cancer
Experience

- Experience of working in a multi-faceted organisation

- Experience dealing with the public
- Previous or current NHS employment
