We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, organised and proactive Business Support Officer to join our friendly and forward-thinking GP Practice ...

The postholder will

  • Support the Management Team with the delivery and

monitoring of QOF and Enhanced Services.

  • Run regular searches using EMIS Web and Ardens Manager.
  • Monitor QOF and Enhanced Services performance on a monthly

basis.

  • Identify areas of underachievement or outstanding activity

and work with the relevant Practice staff to address these.

  • Prepare and submit national and local CQRS claims, ensuring

all claims are accurate and submitted within required deadlines.

  • Support and monitor the Practice's recall system

particularly for patients with long-term conditions.

  • Identify patients requiring reviews, monitoring

investigations or other relevant interventions.

  • Undertake regular checks of patient records to ensure

clinical information and activity are accurately recorded.

  • Support clinicians and administrative staff with clinical

coding and data quality.

  • Identify and correct data quality issues which could affect

QOF, Enhanced Services or other commissioned income.

  • Ensure appropriate coding and recording of activity to

support accurate reporting and maximise Practice income.

  • Undertake audits and analyse Practice data to identify

trends, gaps and areas for improvement.

  • Complete and submit reporting templates and data returns for

the ICS, PCN and other relevant organisations.

  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets, monitoring tools and records

relating to QOF, Enhanced Services, recalls, audits and reporting.

  • Provide regular performance information and updates to the

Practice Management Team.

About the Candidate

We are seeking an individual who is highly organised,

self-motivated and able to work proactively with minimal supervision.

You will have excellent attention to detail and understand

the importance of accurate data, clinical coding and timely completion of

contractual requirements.

You will ideally have previous experience working in General

Practice and be familiar with QOF, Enhanced Services, EMIS Web, Ardens Manager

and CQRS.

The ability to analyse data, identify areas requiring action

and communicate effectively with both clinical and non-clinical colleagues is

Essential.

Knowledge of clinical coding would be

particularly advantageous, as the postholder will play an important role in

ensuring the accuracy and completeness of coding to support QOF and Enhanced

Services achievement.

Penkridge Medical Practice is a semi-rural Practice in South Staffordshire, with a list size of approximately 10700 patients. We have purpose built, modern premises and a multi-disciplinary team on site

Care professional to take on a key role within the Practice and make a real

contribution to patient care, Practice performance, data quality and financial

sustainability.

You will work closely with an experienced Practice

Management Team and have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills

across QOF, Enhanced Services, primary care reporting and data quality.

  • Previous experience working within General Practice or Primary Care.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of QOF and Enhanced Services.
  • Experience using EMIS Web.
  • Experience running searches and working with primary care data.
  • Experience of CQRS, including submitting claims.
  • Experience of undertaking audits and completing reports.
  • Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information.

Desirable

  • Experience using Ardens Manager.
  • Knowledge of clinical coding within General Practice.
  • Experience managing or supporting patient recall systems.
  • Experience working with PCN and ICS reporting requirements.
  • Experience analysing primary care performance data.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths or equivalent.

Desirable

  • Further education qualification in Business Studies.
