- The successful candidate will have strong technical skills (Excel, SQL and Qlik are essential, if Qlik Skills are not present then some form of Visualization skills should be present, Python Skills Desirable) as well as extensive NHS Estates and/or Patients knowledge and experience. They will use these skills to analyse, interpret and present complex data, supporting operational, performance and strategic decision-making across corporate services.
- The role requires a collaborative, proactive and flexible individual who can work independently and as part of a wider team. The post holder will maintain high standards of accuracy and quality whilst managing a varied workload, balancing competing priorities and consistently meeting deadlines. They will be expected to demonstrate excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, taking ownership of tasks and using their initiative to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the post holder will be required to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of corporate, operational and clinical managers.

Education/ Qualifications
Essential
- Degree level or equivalent experience (relevant to role).
- Postgraduate qualification in relevant area or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years experience, of which at least 3-4 years should have been within similar roles
Desirable
- Management qualification or equivalent experience
- Qualification in Project Management
- Association of Professional Healthcare Analysts professional registration
Experience
Essential
- 3-4 years Health Informatics experience
- proven experience of working with Visualisation software such as Qlik Sense or similar
- Good understanding of new/developing NHS performance monitoring systems
- Knowledge of NHS contracting & payment by results
- Advanced knowledge and competent use of Patient Administration System and other HealthCare I.T. systems, all Microsoft Office packages especially Excel and Access.
- SQL experience.
- Experience of managing projects including use of project plans, identifying risks, etc
- Experience of working with non-clinical, hospital systems and data
Desirable
- Experience of supervising staff
- Experience of Python
- Experience of Business Objects
- Knowledge of Lean analysis techniques
- Knowledge of Data Protection Act
Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities
Essential: - Numerate with statistical skills and interpretive reporting including ability to apply and analyse data using Statistical Process Control
Desirable: - Advanced modelling skills (e.g. demand and capacity)
