We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 midwife to join our Birth Centre (midwifery-led unit) team. Must be able to demonstrate excellent decision m...
- Provide high quality, evidence-based care and advice to women throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
- Enhance the woman's experience of care and ensure that the needs of the woman are placed at the centre of care delivery.
- Liaise appropriately with services to ensure safe and effective care is provided to women at the right place, and at the right time. Act as an advocate for women, whilst safeguarding her and her wider family and social group where appropriate.
- Be flexible and support the maternity service by working in other areas when needed .
- Be flexible and open to new ways of working as we review and re-evaluate our service.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Trust's objectives by working to improve clinical outcomes, increase productivity, efficiency and quality in care delivery.

Education / Qualifications
Essential: - Registered Midwife; - First degree in midwifery
Desirable: - Evidence of post registration education activity.; - Mentorship qualification; - NIPE
Experience
Essential: - Relevant current clinical experience; - Experience of staff management; - Experience in change management; - Previous mentorship experience
Skills/knowledge/ abilities
Essential
- Evidence of applying current research to practice.
- Able to demonstrate a working knowledge in standard setting and quality management.
- Experience in conducting audits.
- IT skills including Microsoft office, Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable: - Experience in supervision of staff.
