Preparing and assisting with general and specialised procedures including biopsies

Ensuring a clean and hygienic working environment

Preparing patients for treatmentBeing involved in the manual handling of patients

Recognising equipment faults and reporting these immediately

Undertaking basic maintenance of equipment

Develop or gain any other skills that will complement role

Spire Hartswood Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Radiology Assistant to join the Bank Team.

Duties and responsibilities

To assist the multi-disciplinary team to provide exemplary patient care and examination, working within set protocols within the diagnostic imaging department.

  • A recognised course through an institution of learning leading to a Diploma of Higher Education in imaging sciences or equivalent.
  • Role specific studies allowing continuing professional development.
  • Worked in an imaging department and has had the opportunity to consolidate skills. Experience of working effectively within a team Can demonstrate application of clinical judgement to a range of cases that require use of plain imaging techniques.
