As a Phlebotomist at Kettering, you will be responsible for delivering high quality care across all locations of our Phlebotomy sites. You will be required to undertake shift patterns which can differ to meet the needs of the service over a 7 day week in line with agenda for change.

Applicants must have current/recent experience of working as a Phlebotomist in the NHS and will be expected to discuss these experiences at interview.

Own transport and current full UK driving license is essential.

Attention to detail, flexible attitude and ability to work under pressure as part of a team are vital requirements for this post.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy qualification or experience

Knowledge / Experience

Essential

  • NHS Healthcare work experience
  • Ability to overcome communication barriers
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Ability to use Microsoft package

Desirable

  • Experience of receptionist work
  • Experience of clinical systems

Skills

Essential

  • Able to update records both written and computer
  • Ability to deal queries both face to face and on the telephone
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to follow and adhere to strict SOP's

Desirable

  • Ability to undertake multiple tasks at the same time
