HSSU Coordinator

Tunbridge Wells | Bank - Ad Hoc | Part time

Up to £14.00 per hour

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

Our HSSU (Hospital Sterile Services Unit) plays a vital role in transporting sterile and disinfected surgical equipment to the local hospital network. Now, you can too. Join the UK's largest Healthcare Charity and you'll have every chance to help improve lives. In return, you'll experience our unrivalled rewards.

The opportunity

You will work alongside trained professionals to ensure that the theatre environment and equipment are fully operational and maintained to the highest standards. A key responsibility of the role is coordinating and ordering all loan surgical instrumentation and equipment required by the theatre department. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of the HSSU, as well as managing all theatre loan kits to ensure they are ordered, received, checked, and available for scheduled procedures.

The role includes raising and managing Purchase Orders (POs), liaising with medical device representatives and suppliers, and ensuring all loan instrumentation and equipment are ordered accurately and in a timely manner based on theatre booking forms. You will work closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure all required equipment is available, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of patient care.
