As a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant, you will:
- Deliver high-quality personal care and support to patients
- Assist with mobility, nutrition, and hygiene needs
- Monitor and record vital signs and observations
- Support clinical teams in a variety of settings, including inpatient wards and community services
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Work flexibly across shifts to meet service needs
We're looking for individuals who
- Have previous experience in a healthcare setting (essential)
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Are compassionate, reliable, and adaptable
- Can commit to working flexibly between December and March
- Are passionate about delivering excellent patient care

Experience
Essential
- Working knowledge of mental health or learning disability issues including: mental health legislation, medication management, user involvement
- Demonstrable experience of working with young people and/or mental health and/or learning disabilities services
Desirable
- Experience of working with young people
Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential
- NVQ level 3 in mental health / learning disabilities area or significant equivalent experience in providing a range of activities
- To develop a knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and policy drivers, e.g. the Mental Health Act, Vulnerable Adult Policy, the Children's Act, Valuing People and implications of these to CYPF and their care
- To have an understanding of Safeguarding, Confidentiality and Information Governance
- To have an understanding of mental health or learning disability issues
Skills and Competencies
Essential
- Ability to communicate and engage with CYPF
- Evidence of inter-personal skills and the ability to form therapeutic relationships with CYPF
- Ability to work in a demanding environment
Desirable
- Ability to motivate others
