Prepare and serve
meals to patients, staff, and visitors.
Follow recipes,
food safety, and hygiene standards.
Support menu
planning and special dietary requirements.
Supervise food
production and stock rotation.
Maintain clean,
safe, and organised kitchen areas.
Ensure equipment is
used safely and reported when faulty.
Deliver meals on
time and to the required standard.
Monitor food
quality, temperatures, and cleaning records.
Assist with stock
deliveries and storage.
Record food wastage
and check food expiry dates.
Support the
day-to-day running of the catering service.
Train and support
new team members.
Handle customer
feedback and resolve issues professionally.
Build positive
working relationships across the Trust.
Comply with Trust
policies, health & safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Participate in
training, meetings, and personal development activities.

Qualifications
Essential
- City & Guilds 1 & 2 Catering or NVQ equivalent
- NVQ level 3
- Knowledge for special dietary requirements
- Good level of numeracy and literacy skills
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
Desirable: - Intermediate Food Hygiene; - IOSH Managing Safely
