The post holder will work closely with the Ward manager and Registered Mental Health Nurses to provide safe, effective and high quality care for our adult patients with mental health needs. The post holder would ensure the delivery of high quality and effective nursing care to mental health service users receiving Inpatient and/or Community services within a service area, in accordance with the objectives and vision of the Trust
Applicants should experience of working within mental health services and within a multidisciplinary team and multi-agency frameworks. You will receive a full induction and be given proactive and regular supervision, on-going access to training and support to undertake this exciting, challenging and highly rewarding role. This includes being part of a supportive, caring and innovative team where there is a proactive approach to staff wellbeing and their clinical and professional development.

Qualifications and Training
Essential
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (with a minimum of 5 A-E qualifications, which must include Maths and English).
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification or demonstrable experience/development
Desirable: - Care Certificate
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working with individuals who have experienced mental illness in a residential, community or in-patient care setting
- Previous experience of working in a Health or Social Care setting in a paid or voluntary position.
- To be knowledgeable/understanding about factors that cause/impact of mental health problems and associated interventions.
- Evidence of caring and/or demonstrable interest in working within a care setting
- Evidence of compassion and basic kindness
- Courage - having the honesty and integrity to report mistakes
Desirable: - Ability to demonstrate procedures/competencies to others
Knowledge
Essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Able to work on own initiative
